The
FlatJet digital printing system is a whole new ink-jet
method whose ambitious purpose is to gain the upper
hand over competing digital systems or even come
close to the throughput of conventional offset technologies.
As
far as resolution is concerned, the main focus during
the development work was not on setting new records,
on the contrary, the principal objective was to
transmit large quatities of ink onto the substrate
in the shortest possible time.
With
the FlatJet system real-time simultaneous parallel
printing can be achieved. Since the flat printing
heads can be placed in raster-size distance from
each other in the full width of the paper, the picture
is created by a simultaneous operation of the printing
heads.
The
FlatJet printing system does work, it has already
proved its viability. However, to develop the FlatJet
into a compettive and marketable product, a business
partner with a solid industrial and financial background
is indispensable.
The
assistance of a business partner would enable the
FlatJet to get a foothold on the multi billion market
of outdoor advertising.
